Cadets Kickboxing

Cadets Kickboxing is built specifically for teenagers aged 13 to 18. Our kickboxing programme is an intense, high-energy session focused on rapid footwork, powerful combinations, and cardio-based conditioning circuits using the specialised equipment in our Shirehampton dojo.

At Bristol School of Karate, our Cadets syllabus covers a massive variety of techniques—from fundamental boxing combinations, clinical blocks, and evasive footwork to jumping, flying, and spinning kicks. As students advance through the ranks, these strikes are chained into 3-to-8 move combinations that test athletic coordination, speed, and mental toughness. We also teach practical self-defence tactics to help teens stay aware and protected when spending time out with friends.

  • Explosive Striking & Conditioning: High-intensity cardio circuits, heavy bag work, and athletic kicking drills that build real core power, agility, and functional stamina.

  • Advanced Multi-Strike Combinations: Drills linking 3-to-8 strike combinations of punches, kicks, and evasive slips to sharpen reflexes under physical fatigue.

  • Practical Self-Defence & Street Awareness: Realistic personal safety habits, verbal de-escalation, and practical release techniques designed for real-world teenage situations.

  • Supervised Protective Sparring: Controlled sparring rounds using full safety padding, giving students a safe platform to apply distance control, timing, and ring craft under instructor supervision.
